Terms of Service

The service

UpKept builds, hosts, and maintains a website for your business as a monthly subscription. Your plan includes design, hosting, SSL, and unlimited text edits; optional add-ons are billed alongside your plan and can be added or removed anytime.

Billing

Subscriptions bill monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until canceled. If a payment fails we'll let you know and retry; if it stays unpaid your website may be taken offline until billing is resolved. Your content is preserved — reactivating restores your site exactly as it was.

Cancellation

Cancel anytime from your billing portal — your website stays up through the end of the period you've paid for. No contracts, no cancellation fees.

Your content and your site

The information you give us stays yours. The website we build for you is yours to use for your business while subscribed, and you agree that the business information you provide is accurate.

Acceptable use

We’re glad to build for almost any business. A few we don’t take on: adult or sexual services and content; gambling or games of chance played for money or prizes; cryptocurrency, token, and NFT businesses; and cannabis dispensaries or marijuana products.

You also agree not to use your site for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful — including impersonating someone else, phishing, malware, or misrepresenting what your business does.

We may decline to build a site, or take one offline, if it falls into one of those categories or breaks these terms. If we do, we’ll tell you and stop billing you. Your business information is still yours, and we’ll send you a copy on request.

Service quality

We aim for your first draft within 24 hours and for your website to be available around the clock, but the service is provided "as is" and we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.
